Typically, a blogger would offer an explanation as to why she has not posted anything in the past 10 months. Well, as of now I have no readers, thus no need to explain anything.

The past week was slow for husband's work so we had time to work on a project. I recently purchased my first sewing machine (more on that later) and needed a place to store it. Since we are pretty low on space, the best idea, to me at least, was to turn the guest room closet into a craft closet. It turned out quite nice! Here are some before and after photos. The closet was used mainly to store my out of season clothes and shoes, plus many random things.

I covered the corkboard with a cheerful fabric and yellow ribbon.

The handy husband put casters on the bottom of this little Craigslist find table so I can pull it out and sit and sew, and then just push it back under the work space when I'm done!
